Dear Friends,
I come to you today with sad news. After almost 100 episodes and two years on the air, we are suspending operations of the AlphonseFM podcast.
The show started because the cast and I wanted to do something fun. Nothing more, nothing less. Unfortunately, a series of events have recently taken place resulting in the show no longer being a fun or enjoyable experience for those of us involved. People who were offended or upset by the content of our show have decided to take proactive steps to bring us down. Instead of simply not listening, these people are choosing to act like cowards and damage our private lives.
Nevertheless, I am proud that what started as a simple daydream grew into a popular show with over 1,000 weekly downloads. The cast and I poured our blood, sweat and tears into the show and we grew to realize that doing something you love and have a passion for is the key to happiness.
I would like to thank Kelly Niklason, Wesley Donehue, Will Folks, Laura David, Natalie Mullis, Wes Wolfe, Randy Borawski, Phil Bailey, Teowonna Clifton, and Andrew Schweiger. All of them appeared as guests on our show and bravely subjected themselves to our madness.
I would also like to thank our sponsors and supporters Rice Creek Family Dentistry, South Lake Family Dental, Angelfish Creations, Law office of Heath M. Stewart III, FITSNews, Pub Politics, WXRY, and many others. You guys kept us going week after week and I’ll always be grateful.
Most importantly I would like to thank the cast who put their apprehensions aside and opened up their lives to provide entertainment and humor to our listeners. I’m truly indebted to Freak, Swamp Fox, Scot, and Coach for all of their hard work and faith in the show. I still believe that we are the most entertaining radio team in the Palmetto state.
Despite this sad development, all of us on the cast are optimistic that we can find a way to continue in some form or fashion. Hopefully, you will hear from us again soon.
Sincerely,
Alphonse
